About us

A higgledy-piggledy medieval pub, full to the brim with history. Originally built in 1452, The Prince Rupert is a true historical gem, lovingly restored and now a fantastic pub with a terraced beer garden, conservatory, enchanting dining rooms and hidden upstairs venue for private hire. Just a 5-minute walk from Newark Castle train station, tucked away between the beautiful Newark castle and market square and walking distance to The Civil War Centre and Palace Theatre. Real ales, fine wines and good food, including a hearty Sunday roast, await.
